6 Signs It’s Time for an Air Duct Cleaning

The quality of the air we breathe indoors has become an increasingly important environmental concern. Studies have shown that two out of three indoor air quality problems involve the HVAC system.   2. Rapid accumulation of dust shortly after you clean doesn’t necessarily mean you’re bad at housekeeping – it may indicate a dirty air duct system.
  3. Notice an increase in allergies or respiratory problems? Duct cleaning decreases pet dander and other contaminants that may float around your home and cause reactions.
  4. Construction and remodeling also create more dirt and debris, so make air duct cleaning your final step in any construction project.
  5. If you live near an unpaved road, it’s recommended to have air ducts cleaned every two-and-a-half to three years.
  6. If you’ve purchased a home and don’t know its air duct cleaning history, consider cleaning. Odds are, they haven’t been touched in years.
