Tiled Floors- VCT (Vinyl Composite Tile)
VCT, or vinyl composite tile floors are the most common types of resilient flooring today. Binders make vinyl composite tile more resistant to abrasion, chemicals, and solvents. Although it looks solid, VCT has many microscopic holes in its surface when unfinished. This characteristic makes it less water and stain resistant. When properly sealed, vinyl composite tile is usually resistant to oils, greases, acids, and alkalis. We offer vinyl composite tile floor cleaning services.
ServiceMaster PBM has a variety of vinyl composite tile cleaning techniques to keep your VCT floors looking their best.
Strip & Refinish Vinyl Tile:
We use this process for floors with old finish built up around the edges, badly stained and discolored floors. Generally, we recommend this process once every year or two. We lay 3 coats of finish, guaranteeing a superior shine and longevity.
Shower Scrub & Refinish Vinyl Tile:
We use this process for when the floor still has finish on it, but the finish is scuffed and stained. This procedure will restore the room’s appearance by scrubbing off the dirty layer of finish. We then replace it with 2 or 3 new coats. This is our most commonly performed procedure, since it is very economical and leaves great looking floors.
Machine Polish Vinyl Tile:
This process will smooth out many of the scuffs and scratches in your VCT floor finish. It will improve the gloss and extending the life of the finish. It will be performed on a periodic schedule based on your facility’s needs.
